The World Wide Web is a wonderfully bizarre place. To quote my friend Pam..
“I just love the net, instant fantasy in a box.
One of the more bizarre ‘fantasies’ floating around is an ‘eRumour’ about a nonexistent aeroplane… a 1000 passenger Boeing 797.
I give the creator of this hoax 10 points for imagination… but only two points for believeability.
No matter how much you might love writing, the creative process is hard work.
There are as many different ways for writers to work at their craft as their are writers. Whether it’s index cards and notebooks or legal pads and post-it notes… or the equivalent computerised tools, staying organised is as much work as the actual writing itself.
Keeping research linked with chapter notes, premises, character notes, history and geography, technology, etc.. ad nauseum… is a pain in the posterior.
No ’system’ is perfect, and none of them work exactly the way the writer does… but for this writer, a programme from Bartas Tech, called CopyWrite comes as close to being perfect as I’ve found.
